COVID Protocols

COVID infections are on the rise. In an effort to keep you safe, we are abiding by CDC best practices and Arlington ISD protocols. Please note the following guidelines:

- Everyone at HOPE Tutoring events or sessions (including tutors, staff, parents, students,  and family members present) must wear a facemask and try to social distance to the greatest extent possible during tutoring. Please note that HOPE Tutoring cannot ask staff or children at McNutt Elementary to wear facemasks.

- If you or anyone in your household tests positive for COVID, notify us and stay home. According to AISD's current protocols, you should quarantine for 10 days from the symptom start date:

  • Symptom start date = Day zero

  • Day 1-10 = isolation

  • Day 11 = Return to work and normal activities if you are feeling well

- If you are a volunteer at McNutt Elementary and have been tutoring there this Spring, HOPE Tutoring must report to McNutt if you test positive. AISD must report the number of all positive cases to the Health Department.

- If you have been exposed to someone with COVID but you are fully vaccinated and boosted, please avoid tutoring sessions for at least 5 days and then test yourself for COVID. If you test negative, you are clear to come to tutoring sessions again. If you are not fully vaccinated and boosted, please avoid tutoring sessions for 10 days and then test yourself for COVID. If you test negative, you are clear to come to tutoring sessions again.

We at HOPE Tutoring appreciate your diligence in preventing the spread of COVID. Thank you for your cooperation! If you have any questions, please let us know.
