School Year Tutoring

Enrollment has begun!

Tutoring schedule:

HOPE Tutoring offers free, one-on-one tutoring to Arlington students in grades 2-8. HOPE’s tutors provide assistance with language arts, math, social studies, and science. Our tutors are volunteers from the community, including retired educators, college students, high school honors students, and other members of the local community. Volunteers are trained and complete a background check before tutoring our students.  


HOPE Tutoring currently has many sites serving students in the Central/East Arlington area, including: 

  • Mondays: 4:45-5:45 p.m. - Southeast Branch Library, 900 SE Green Oaks Blvd 

  • Mondays: 5:30-6:30 p.m. - Virtual tutoring  

  • Tuesdays & Thursdays: 2:25-3:25 p.m. - 3rd Grade Intervention Hour, McNutt Elementary, 3609 S Center  

  • Tuesdays: 3:35-4:45 p.m. - Afterschool tutoring at McNutt Elementary, 3609 S Center  

  • Tuesdays: 4:45-5:45 p.m. - Greater Community Missionary Baptist Church, 126 E Park Row  

  • Tuesdays: 4:45-5:45 p.m. - East Branch Library, 1817 New York Ave  

  • Tuesdays: 6:30-7:30 pm. - First Presbyterian Church, 1200 S Collins  

  • Wednesdays: 5:30-6:30 p.m. - Virtual tutoring 

  • Wednesdays: 4:45-5:45 p.m. - Downtown Library, 100 S Center  

  • Thursdays: 5:30-6:30 p.m. - Virtual Tutoring

  • Thursdays: 6:30-7:30 p.m. - Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 2020 S Collins
